Department Summary
The UNT Community College Dual Credit Partnership is a Presidential Initiative that seeks to build stronger dual credit pathways by expanding the dual-credit teaching pipeline, creating a collaborative faculty network, strengthening faculty development, and supporting dual-credit students transitioning to UNT.
Position Overview
Faculty adjunct assistants are sought for two key roles to bolster the Presidential Initiative:
1. Participate in the development and design of the Dual Credit Network (DCN), AND/OR
2. Pilot community college dual credit courses that are aligned with specified UNT courses in the subjects of History and English.
Minimum Qualifications
1. Must currently be employed by a Community College, such as but not limited to North Central Texas College, AND presently working with or teaching specified dual credit courses in specified Texas high schools that Community Colleges support.
2. Must have a master's degree in the specific subject taught and/or a master's degree in a closely related subject AND 18 graduate hours in the specific subject taught.
Preferred Qualifications
1. Three or more years teaching a Community College dual credit course.
2. Three or more years as an embedded dual credit instructor.
3. Terminal degree in discipline is preferred.
