Department Summary

The Division of Composition is one of eight divisions in The College of Music. The Division of Composition serves approximately 70 majors with nine faculty representing a variety of compositional aesthetics and approaches.

UNT has a highly diverse campus with a wide range of languages spoken in addition to English. We welcome candidates who have experience with HSI/MSIs and/or who speak Spanish, Vietnamese, American Sign Language, Chinese (Cantonese, Mandarin and other variations), Arabic, Tagalog, Farsi, French, or/and Yoruba.

Position Overview

Applied composition lessons (undergraduate and graduate), applied electronics lessons
(undergraduate).

Minimum Qualifications

Ph.D. in Composition

Preferred Qualifications

Experience teaching composition at the college level, specialization in electronic and computer music.
