Department Summary

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at UNT is committed to educating students in the principles and practices of computing, software development, and information technology. The department offers a robust curriculum at both undergraduate and graduate levels, supporting research and innovation in diverse subfields including artificial intelligence, data science, cybersecurity, and software engineering. About 8-10% of all UNT students are in the CSE Department.

Position Overview

This adjunct faculty position involves teaching undergraduate computer science courses and potentially graduate-level courses based on departmental need and candidate expertise. Responsibilities include instruction, assessment, and support of student learning, as well as participation in departmental activities. The adjunct may be assigned core or elective courses depending on qualifications and scheduling.

Minimum Qualifications

To teach undergraduate courses a Masters degree in Computer Science or related field is required.

To be considered for teaching graduate level courses a PhD. in Computer Science or related field is required.

Preferred Qualifications

PhD in Computer Science or related field.
