Department Summary

The Department of Educational Psychology address's themes of cognition, behavior, and emotion within our society by generating research, disseminating knowledge, and preparing scholars who take leadership in their fields while enhancing the development and effective functioning of individuals, schools, and families.

UNT has a highly diverse campus with a wide range of languages spoken in addition to English. We welcome candidates who have experience with HSI/MSIs and/or who speak Spanish, Vietnamese, American Sign Language, Chinese (Cantonese, Mandarin and other variations), Arabic, Tagalog, Farsi, French, or/and Yoruba.

Position Overview

The Department of Educational Psychology seeks qualified individuals for its Adjunct Instructor pool and welcomes applicants at any time. This posting is for the Fall 2025, Spring 2026 and Summer 2026 semesters. The specific courses involved may vary from semester to semester and openings to teach these courses develop on a periodic basis, depending on department teaching needs.

The anticipated need is for Adjunct Instructors to teach classes that may include but are not limited to undergraduate courses in Human Development and Family Science. Courses taught will depend on department need and can vary across semesters.

Minimum Qualifications

M.S. in Human Development and Family Science or a closely related field with at least 18 graduate credit hours in Human Development and/or Family Science.

Preferred Qualifications

- Ph.D. in Human Development and Family Science or closely related field.
- Previous experience teaching HDFS courses at the college/university level.
- Online teaching experience using Canvas
