Department Summary

The College of Merchandising, Hospitality, and Tourism offers six bachelor of science degree programs (hospitality management, merchandising, home furnishings merchandising, digital retailing, consumer experience management, and retail) and three master of science degree programs (merchandising, hospitality management, and international sustainable tourism). The mission of the College is to transform learning, research, and engagement for a global experience economy. Industry-relevant coursework delivered by expert faculty employs a focus on creative thinking and globally-oriented problem solving.

UNT has a highly diverse campus with a wide range of languages spoken in addition to English. We welcome candidates who have experience with HSI/MSIs and/or who speak Spanish, Vietnamese, American Sign Language, Chinese (Cantonese, Mandarin and other variations), Arabic, Tagalog, Farsi, French, or/and Yoruba.

Position Overview

The Department of Hospitality and Tourism seeks qualified individuals for its Adjunct Instructor Pool and welcomes applicants at any time. The specific courses involved may vary but include all nutrition courses. Openings to teach these courses develop on a periodic basis, depending on department teaching needs.


Minimum Qualifications

A master's degree in the discipline or a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours directly related to the assigned courses(s).

Preferred Qualifications

Registered Dietitian is preferred. Experience teaching online.
