Department Summary

We're the Department of Physics. We study space, time, energy, and matter at all scales ranging from those describing subatomic particles to the evolution and structure of the universe as a whole!
UNT Physics offers BS/BA, MS, and Ph.D. degrees. It also offers a BS/MS accelerated program for students to
obtain both BS and MS degrees in 5 years. In addition to general physics, its undergraduate program offers
Engineering Physics, Computational.
Anticipated Courses: Physics, and Astronomy concentrations.

UNT has a highly diverse campus with a wide range of languages spoken in addition to English. Position Overview

The Department of Physics seeks qualified individuals for its Adjunct Instructor pool and welcomes applicants at any time. This posting is for 2025 SUMMER II session only. The specific courses involved may vary from semester to semester and openings to teach these courses develop on a periodic basis, depending on department teaching
needs.

Minimum Qualifications

Master’s in physics or closely related field and teaching experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience teaching large lecture courses at the college level.
Experience supervising teaching assistants.
