Department Summary

The Department of Sociology is a vibrant academic community distinguished by innovative research initiatives, exceptional professional opportunities, and award-winning faculty members whose scholarly publications have earned widespread recognition in the field. Our department has established itself as a leader in sociological education and research.

UNT has a highly diverse campus with a wide range of languages spoken in addition to English. We welcome candidates who have experience with HSI/MSIs and/or who speak Spanish, Vietnamese, American Sign Language, Chinese (Cantonese, Mandarin and other variations), Arabic, Tagalog, Farsi, French, or/and Yoruba.

Position Overview

Serve as instructor of record for SOCI-4240.400 during the Fall 2025 semester. Work directly with teaching assistants, grade assignments and engage with students.

Minimum Qualifications

Requires a Ph.D. in Sociology or Related field.

Preferred Qualifications

PhD, who has specialization in Sports with prior experience as sociology instructor of record.
