Department Summary

The University of North Texas (UNT) Student Health and Wellness Center is a full-service medical center offering all UNT students general wellness and specialty medical care. We are staffed with licensed physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, certified lab technologists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, licensed nurses, and medical assistants.

Position Overview

The Administrative Coordinator for the Student Health and Wellness Center is responsible for handling all internal HR processes, overseeing training requirements, managing record retention and compliance, room scheduling/event coordination, purchasing, travel, and other duties assigned by the Assistant Director of Healthcare Administration.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and two years of highly responsible and varied office administration or business management experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

* Knowledge of accounting/budgeting procedures.
* Ability to work under pressure, to adjust to constant changes, to handle multiple tasks, and to coordinate the work of others.
* Ability to keep complex records, to assemble and organize data of complex nature, and to prepare and submit reports in acceptable formats.
* Ability to conceptualize, plan and organize multiple programs and assignments effectively.
* Ability to work on complex and confidential tasks utilizing judgment, tact, and resourcefulness.
* Skill in developing and maintaining good working relationships.
* Knowledge of policies, practices, procedures and terminology of assigned function.

Job Duties

  • Room scheduling and event coordination 
  • Purchasing (for events and all-staff in-service) 
  • Internal on- and off-boarding for full-time, part-time, and student employees in the Student Health and Wellness Ctr 
  • Ensure all internal training is up-to-date and compliant with HIPAA, FERPA, and UNT policies
  • Manage record retention process throughout the Student Health and Wellness Ctr 
  • Other duties as assigned by the Assistant Director, Healthcare Administration
