Position Overview
Join a great team to help us keep bike riders rolling. This position is responsible for troubleshooting repairs and services for all types of bikes. Communicating with students, faculty, and staff to help them understand the concerns with their bikes. Additionally, the technician will, under direction, order and stock new accessories and components as needed. Further, the technician will ensure the safety of all bikes being repaired in the shop. Since you will constantly be speaking with customers to evaluate issues and recommend repairs, we value great listening and customer service skills.
Minimum Qualifications
Qualifications:
• 1 year of related experience
• Valid Texas driver license
• Self-motivation and positive, team focused attitude
• Great customer service skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Eagerness to learn
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
This position is responsible for troubleshooting repairs and services for all types of bikes. At least one year experience with bicycle maintenance preferred. Ability to communicate with others is essential. This position requires communicating with students, faculty, and staff to help them understand the concerns with their bikes.

Valid Texas driver license

Job Duties
- Complete work orders accurately
- Assist customer in the repair process by sharing knowledge and experience
- Operate point of sale equipment
- Maintain clean and presentable work area
- Install, replace, or repair parts and equipment as necessary
- Align Wheels, install tires, and tubes
- Clean and lubricate bicycle parts
- Other duties as assigned, including parking enforcement tasks during times the bike shop is closed
Physical Requirements
Communicating with others to exchange information.
Lifting and Moving objects up to 20 pounds.
Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.
Moving self in various positions to perform tasks in tight and confined spaces.
Operating machinery and/or power tools.
Operating motor vehicles or heavy equipment.
Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
Environmental Hazards
No adverse environmental conditions expected.
Elevated temperatures.
Exposure to moving mechanical parts or vibration.
Low temperatures.
Outdoor elements such as precipitation and wind.
Work Schedule
Shift times are generally between the hours of 10AM-3PM. Weekend work will be required from time-to-time
