Department Summary
The Department of Personalized Health and Well-Being is filling this gap by bringing together an interprofessional team to develop innovative educational programs and research endeavors that focus on merging evidence-based lifestyle medicine with National Board for Health and Wellness Coaches (NBHWC) coaching competencies. Our graduates will be equipped with the knowledge and clinical skills to collaborate effectively within interdisciplinary healthcare teams and to integrate behavior change theories into the delivery of medical nutrition therapy, preparing them to lead in advancing patient-centered, whole-person care.
Position Overview
The Clinical Site Coordinator develops, coordinates, and monitors supervised practice sites used through regular contact and site visits. Recruits new supervised practice sites, assists in the evaluation of supervised practice sites and preceptors related to the quality of dietetics education provided. Builds community relationships to establish and maintain clinical education sites for Clinical Nutrition Students.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and three (3) years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Registered Dietitian by Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) criteria.
- Minimum of 2 years of practice experience as a registered dietitian.
- Knowledge of local health systems.
Job Duties
- Establish, develop and maintain adequate numbers of supervised practice sites relative to quality, and diversity of learning experiences that meet the educational needs of students.
- Maintain knowledge of current trends in health care and their impact on clinical education.
- Apprise preceptors and faculty of relevant issues.
- Recruit and obtain new supervised practice sites and preceptors in support of the programs education experiences.
- Orient and educate preceptor faculty on teaching goals and teaching materials used in support of supervised practice experiences.
- Assist with identifying and matching supervised practice site needs with those of students, including, but not limited to, provider profiles, verification of licensure, insurance coverage, and facilitating preceptors.
- Maintain knowledge of current trends in health care and their impact on clinical/community education.
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with hospital/community partner medical education offices and personnel.

Monday - Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm; Hybrid Schedule (remote and in-office work required).
