Department Summary

The Office of Marketing & Communications tells UNT Health Fort Worth’s stories, using creative ways to engage internal audiences, prospective students and community members. We map out and implement strategic marketing and communication plans in collaboration with UNT Health Fort Worth departments and schools to showcase the university and its work in education, research and health care.

Position Overview

The Office of Marketing and Communications at UNT Health Fort Worth is seeking a Digital Media Marketing Manager to join our team. The person in this position must exemplify the UNT Systems Values. Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to: Planning, creating and implementing online marketing strategies, paid search and paid media, plus using keyword research to contribute to search engine optimization of web content and paid campaigns.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of related experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to work under pressure, to adjust to constant changes, to handle multiple tasks, and to coordinate the work of others.
  • Skill in developing and maintaining good working relationships.
  • Ability to conceptualize, plan and organize multiple assignments effectively.

  • Knowledge of policies, practices, procedures and terminology of assigned function.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in digital marketing or related to digital media.
  • Knowledge of search engine optimization content development and backlinking.
  • Experience in the higher education, nonprofit or health care industry.

Job Duties

  • Plan, create and implement online marketing strategies, paid search and paid media within ad dashboards.
  • Track and report approved budgets from leadership for multiple and diverse campaigns and accounts.
  • Block negative keywords and adjust for peak times, seasonality and flexibility with new campaigns and ending old ones.
  • Research and test new features and capabilities (A/B testing).
  • Identify targeted demographics.
  • Balance PPC policies and procedures with marketing that follows Associate Press style.
  • Develop and adapt HSC’s procedures and policies for running paid web media campaigns.
  • Work with web developers, content developers and a wide range of stakeholders to create web assets such as conversions, landing pages, forms, images and copy for use in campaigns.
  • Provide conversion tracking and reporting with basic reports, dashboard creation and scheduled, automated reports.
  • Act as the point of contact and coordinator for outside vendors carrying out related tasks.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Communications’ managers to maximize ad spend through recommended search engine optimization, social media and other strategies.
