Department Summary
The College of Health and Public Service (HPS) at the University of North Texas prepares graduates to address diverse and complex social issues such as aging, disability, disaster management and recovery, criminal justice, health disparities and public safety, and find solutions to challenges in public administration, public health, exercise physiology and urban design.

The Department of Behavior Analysis (DBA) at the University of North Texas (UNT) is renowned for its pioneering role in the field of behavior analysis. The mission of the DBA is to provide a nationally recognized program of learning opportunities for graduate students, fostering the knowledge and skills that enable graduates to compete successfully and contribute significantly to society. Additionally, the department aims to advance the discipline of behavior analysis through applied and basic research that enhances the understanding of human behavior and leads to demonstrable positive behavior change.
The DBA boasts a distinguished faculty with expertise in theoretical, experimental, and applied behavior analysis. It houses several research labs where students can engage in cutting-edge research and practical training. The department offers a comprehensive range of degree programs, including a B.S. in Applied Behavior Analysis, an M.S. in Behavior Analysis, an M.A. in Applied Behavior Analysis, and a Ph.D. in Health Sciences (HS) with a concentration in Behavior Analysis.
Position Overview
This position is responsible for providing project management and clinical oversight for Behavior Analysis Resource Center (BARC) programs. This position will coordinate clinical and research activities across the all locations of BARC programs and ensure compliance with university policies, state and federal regulations, Institutional Review Board (IRB) policies and procedures, and other regulatory agency specifications.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in related field and four years of professional related experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Preferred Qualifications
Doctoral degree in behavior analysis or a related field, 10 years of postmasters experience in the assessment and treatment of severe behavior disorders, and clinical and research experience with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities with and without cooccuring mentalheath conditions, particularly stressrelated disorders.
Required License/Registration/Certifications
Board Certified Behavior Analyst - Doctoral Eligible for licensure as a behavior analyst in Texas
Job Duties
- Oversees BARC clinics, including maintaining compliance with IRBs, UNT and sponsored project policies, requirements of grants and contracts, and clinical best practices.
- Supervises students working on BARC projects, including supervision that meets or exceeds BACB requirements. This may include collaborating with the BARC Director and other BARC staff on supervising practice, internships, theses, coursework, and volunteer projects.
- Develops and implements training, including oral and written training materials when appropriate, with relevant students, staff, caregivers, colleagues, allied professionals, and other individuals as needed.
- Conducts workshops on the assessment and treatment of severe behavior disorders and Positive Behavior Management and Support.
- Conducts and publishes research on the assessment and treatment of severe behavior disorders and other areas in collaboration with the BARC Director.
