The Media Library contains the UNT Libraries’ non-print, audiovisual, tabletop games, and video games collections. The Media Library also has The Nest, which is an e-sports and game design space. The mission of the UNT Media Library is to support the instructional and research needs of UNT faculty, staff, and students by collecting, maintaining, and providing access to media materials that represent all academic disciplines and all genres of film.

Position Overview
The Media Library Services and Collections Specialist will work directly with Media Library department units and stakeholders to augment, support, and execute programs and services offered by the Media Library. This position will support class curricula and campus groups by supplementing logistical support of services and programs. This role will coordinate the department’s circulation services to ensure materials and resources are available and in working order for use in instruction and outreach. The role will assist in oversight of student employees, will supervise the Media Library Access Services Manager, and will coordinate with full-time staff to maintain high-quality services and collections. The Media Library Services and Collections Specialist will coordinate the department’s outreach and instruction activities by maintaining and augmenting processes as needed ensuring that staffing, marketing, and assessment standards are maintained for new and continuing programs.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in related field and one year of related experience or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

• Ability to communicate and work with a diverse population.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to simultaneously execute multiple projects.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with library media collections and services, experience with project management, and knowledge of video and tabletop games.
Required License/Registration/Certifications
Job Duties:
- Coordinates and oversees projects of Media Library Services Desk part-time employees. Supervises full-time Media Library Access Services Manager.
- Coordinates department programs including outreach, assessment, and training.
- Serves as a point for escalation for complex service requests in-person, phone, and email.
- Coordinates purchases and manages budgets for supplies, services, and programs.
- Develops and advises users on department service policies and procedures.
