HSC Health is the academic clinical practice of the Health Science Center, where quality care meets quality education.
HSC Health primary and multispecialty care offices are located on the HSC, Denton and Dallas UNT System campuses, focusing on improving health outcomes to build healthier communities. Care includes mobile health initiatives and extends to hospitals, surgery centers, long-term/continuing care centers, and in-home care.
HSC Health’s interprofessional teams work collaboratively to achieve an optimized treatment plan tailored to the individual patient. Position Overview
We are seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Neurologist to join our team at HSC Health. This position will involve providing expert diagnostic, therapeutic, and consultative services for a wide spectrum of neurological conditions to adults of all ages, with a particular focus on serving patients within HSC Health's well-respected Center for Older Adults. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment committed to delivering exceptional patient care, advancing neurological health, and contributing to our vibrant academic and clinical community in Fort Worth, Texas.
Minimum Qualifications
Medical degree from an accredited medical school. Licensed to practice medicine in another state or have completed at least two years of postgraduate residency (not limited to the United States) Passed the Texas Medical Jurisprudence Examination.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to practice medicine within the scope of license, training and credentials
Ability to communicate effectively with wide range of populations verbally and in writing
Ability to care for a wide range of patient populations
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated knowledge and extensive experience in the comprehensive diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with Alzheimer's disease and other related dementias.
Required License/Registration/Certifications
MD or DO
Board-Certified or Board-Eligible
Active State of Texas Medical License
Job Duties:
- Provide Comprehensive Neurological Care to Adults of All Ages.
- Develop and Implement Individualized Treatment Plans.
- Actively Participate in Medical Student Education and Clinical Training.
- Collaborate and Consult with Interdisciplinary Teams.
- Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant electronic health record documentation of all patient encounters. Actively engage in continuing medical education, quality improvement initiatives, and relevant research to stay abreast of advancements in neurology, particularly in geriatric neurology and dementia care.

- Lifting and Moving objects up to 20 pounds.
- Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing.
- Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.
- Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
