Department Summary

The University of North Texas competes as a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the American Athletic Conference. North Texas’ athletic programs are classified as NCAA Division I, the largest and highest division among all colleges and universities. The 46,000 square-foot Athletic Center located off South Bonnie Brae Street is the centerpiece of North Texas athletics. Position Overview

The University of North Texas is seeking to hire a Part-Time Assistant Swimming & Diving Coach to assist the coaching staff with the management and administration of the Swimming and Diving program and team.

Minimum Qualifications

Swimming and Diving coaching experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of all applicable NCAA, Conference, and University rules and regulations, and must comply with the same.

Job Duties:

Coaches practice sessions or workouts as assigned. May be assigned to work with a specific group of student athletes on a regular basis.

Custodial Services Supervisor

This is an essential position, who's primary purpose is to provide direct supervision of the day-to-day operations of custodial staff within the residence halls, residential dining areas, and assigned auxiliary buildings. Supervisory responsibilities include: approving leave, managing time and attendance. Additionally, individuals will provide training, instruction, and coaching. Individuals will apply progressive discipline to subordinate staff as needed, in accordance with university, system, state and federal guidelines. Individuals will manage work teams of custodians to achieve cleaning goals, including managing interpersonal conflicts and resolving disputes. Individuals will regularly inspect assigned facilities and equipment to ensure that cleaning standards are maintained and equipment is functioning appropriately. Individuals will assist in the hiring and training of team members. Individuals will participate in activities and functions as directed by the leadership of the department.

Non-Student Hourly Research

We provide a high-quality education to our diverse student population through excellence and innovation in teaching and research in order to serve the scientific and engineering needs of the state of Texas and the nation. This will be achieved by a balance of formal course work, practical laboratory training, and research projects that encompass both the basic science and the applied aspects of materials science and engineering.
