Department Summary
The Division of Enrollment Management within the University of North Texas Health Science Center encompasses Admissions & Recruitment, Financial Aid and Student Records & Enrollment. This team assists students from the beginning of their academic journey through their degree completion at UNT Health.
Position Overview
Responsible for assisting the Recruitment Director in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating and directing all phases of recruitment, while also traveling extensively to represent HSC at various college fairs and events to make potential students aware of the programs offered. Will provide exceptional customer service. Regional recruitment in the Collin, Dallas, & Frisco area.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and one year related experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to speak to both large and small groups of people.
- Ability to speak to and interact with all individuals.
- Ability to utilize Webinar software.
- Ability to travel locally and throughout the state of Texas for recruitment and training purposes.
- Ability to work occasional weekends (Saturday).
- Ability to report to work early.
- Ability to fly on a commercial airline.
- Ability to project and plan travel expenses.
- Ability to track and report all travel expenses.
- Ability to document accurate recruitment data.
Preferred Qualifications
- One year related experience, events management experience.
- Previous experience in higher education.
- Excellent detail oriented individual.
- Excellent multitasking abilities.
- Excellent scheduling and event coordinating abilities.
- Demonstrate excellent technology skills.
- Demonstrate excellent working knowledge of MS Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
- Ability to track and document work hours for transmission to director and/or Payroll.
Job Duties
- Responds to inquiries or requests from all prospects and coordinates and conducts tours for prospective applicants, as needed.
- Maintains computerized records of prospects, and contact persons and produces timely reports using the information in the data base.
- Assists the Director in several duties related to recruitment procedures, maintaining the database of all the information related to the admissions, general administration and relevant management, reporting, etc.
- Develops relationships with High School and Community College Advisors institutions.
- Travels DFW, the State of TX, and Out of State Institutions to various College Fairs and Events representing HSC.
- Follows up with prospective applicants and current students promptly either through emails, telephone or regular mail or by having a brief face to face interaction.
- Assists in the overall operations of the recruitment team.

Work Schedule
Monday – Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm, with occasional evenings or weekends as required for divisional events.
