The Applied Artificial Intelligence & Data Science Institute is an interdisciplinary research institute within the Division of Research & Innovation. Position Overview
The Sr Admin Coordinator position in the Applied Artificial Intelligence & Data Science Institute (UNT AI), within the Division of Research & Innovation, is responsible for providing executive, administrative, and analytical support to the Director of UNT AI as well as other staff and institute faculty members. The Sr Administrative Coordinator manages all the administrative support functions required for the institute's daily operations, including but not limited to: purchasing, travel, meeting and event coordination, inventory and space management, and budget reconciliation and reporting.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and five years of highly responsible and varied office administration or business management experience; or any equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.

Job Duties
- Maintain Directors correspondence and manages Directors calendar and scheduling for the institute; coordinates various special projects/meetings/workshops/events in support of the institute which includes preparation of materials and organizing logistics.
- Prepares human resources and personnel documents to manage all hiring, on-boarding and off-boarding activities for institute staff, and students. Provides customer support for UNT AI staff, institute faculty, and acts as department liaison for collaboration with all UNT and UNT System stakeholders.
- Coordinate all departmental purchasing, travel arrangements and reimbursements; manage departmental budget tracking and reports; maintain office supplies, assets, and equipment; and may serve as departmental timekeeper as needed for salaried and hourly student employees.
- Manage departmental records retention and business continuity efforts. Manage the annual campus-wide space survey and inventory certification process for the institute. Collaborates between institute and Division of Research & Innovation administrative staff to coordinate all institute communications, website content, social media, and other campus outreach events that support research.
