Department Summary

The Enrollment Partnerships Department at UNT builds strategic collaborations with K-12 schools, community colleges, and other organizations to create clear pathways and pipelines to the university. These partnerships are designed to support student success from early engagement through degree completion, expanding access to higher education and strengthening academic transitions across educational institutions.

Position Overview

The Senior Administrative Coordinator is the organizational driver of the Department of Enrollment Partnerships at the University of North Texas. This role powers the smooth operation of a department dedicated to building pathways that change students’ lives. As the central point of contact for colleagues, partners, and leadership, the Senior Administrative Coordinator ensures that daily operations run flawlessly while also sparking new ideas to make processes smarter, faster, and more impactful.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and five years of highly responsible and varied office administration or business management experience; or any equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Advanced written communication skills. Advanced Microsoft Office skills. Knowledge of accounting/budgeting procedures. Ability to work under pressure, to adjust to constant changes, and to coordinate the work of others. Ability to balance multiple priorities and keep complex projects on track. Ability to keep records, to assemble and organize data, and to prepare and submit reports in acceptable formats. Ability to conceptualize, plan and organize multiple programs and assignments effectively. Ability to work on complex and confidential tasks utilizing judgment, tact, and resourcefulness. Skill in developing and maintaining good working relationships. Knowledge of policies, practices, procedures and terminology of assigned function.

Preferred Qualifications

The preferred candidate will possess the following additional qualifications: Knowledge of University and UNT System policy and operating procedures. Work experience as an administrative coordinator in an academic setting.

Job Duties

  • Provide proactive management of departmental operations, including timely correspondence, calendar management, coordination of appointments and meetings, support of hiring processes, and maintaining departmental schedules, priorities, and workflows with efficiency and accuracy. 
  • Prepare, generate, and submit departmental reports; manage special projects from initiation to completion, ensuring deadlines are consistently met and deliverables exceed expectations. 
  • Serve as the communications hub for the department by drafting and distributing updates, reminders, and announcements with professionalism; ensuring staff, leadership, and partners aligned and informed. 
  • Coordinate meetings, workshops, and events by planning all logistics, preparing materials, securing supplies, and managing registrations, ensuring seamless execution and a professional experience for all participants. 
  • Oversee financial and budget functions of departmental accounts, including forecasting, purchasing, reconciliation, reporting, and travel processing with accuracy, transparency, and accountability. 
  • Research potential solutions for operational challenges, provide thoughtful recommendations, and implement innovative strategies that improve efficiency and outcomes across the department. -
  • Strengthen departmental by supporting onboarding for new staff and ensuring the team has the tools and resources needed to succeed.
