Department Summary

The Enterprise Transformation Office partners with all campuses to drive student-centered, sustainable improvements across academic and administrative operations. Guided by Lean principles, the office enhances value for students and stakeholders by streamlining processes, reducing waste, and fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Emphasizing respect for people, the department empowers faculty, staff, and students to lead change through training, engagement, and data-driven decision-making. By standardizing best practices and promoting agility, the office supports long-term institutional excellence and responsiveness to evolving needs.

Position Overview

The Senior Lean Programs Administrator will lead process improvement and transformation initiatives within the Finance organization, with primary responsibilities across Budget Office, Accounting, Payroll, Treasury, Procurement and Strategic Infrastructure. Reporting directly to the Chief Transformation Officer, this role provides expert leadership in Lean Six Sigma, change management, and organizational development to drive efficiency, accuracy, and service excellence within core financial operations. While the Finance function is the primary focus, the Administrator may be assigned projects in other institutional areas as defined by the Transformation Office.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelors degree in business, accounting, finance, engineering, organizational leadership, or related field and 7 years of experience in process improvement, financial operations, or organizational transformation.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

- Deep knowledge of Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement tools.
- Strong financial acumen with understanding of core Finance functions.
- Proficiency in change management methodologies.
- Ability to build collaborative relationships across Finance and enterprise.
- Data-driven decision-making, reporting, and performance measurement skills.
- Leadership and coaching capabilities to develop staff and build organizational capacity.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in business, finance, or related discipline.
Certification as a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt (MBB).
Experience in higher education financial operations or other large, complex organizations.
Proven record of delivering measurable financial and operational results through process transformation.
Expertise in budget planning, payroll systems, procurement processes, and infrastructure financial management.

  • % - Facilitate value stream mapping, Kaizen events, and root cause analyses to improve end-to-end financial processes such as budget planning, accounting processes, payroll processing, treasury processes, procurement cycles, and infrastructure resource management. - (Essential)
  • % - Apply structured change management frameworks (e.g., PROSCI/ADKAR) to drive stakeholder engagement, minimize resistance, and sustain adoption of new financial processes. - (Essential)
  • % - Deliver Lean Six Sigma training and workshops tailored to Finance leaders, managers, and staff to build internal process improvement capabilities. - (Essential)
  • % - Mentor Lean practitioners within Finance to strengthen talent pipelines and embed continuous improvement into day-to-day operations. - (Essential)
  • % - Ensure that process improvements comply with institutional policies, audit requirements, and regulatory standards. - (Essential)
  • % - Track financial transformation outcomes, including cost savings, accuracy improvements, and service-level enhancements, through dashboards and reports. - (Essential)
  • % - Provide regular updates to the Chief Transformation Officer and Finance leadership on progress, risks, and realized benefits. - (Essential)
