Position Overview
This position will research, develop, and implement effective recruiting and sourcing strategies to attract a highly qualified pool of talent to support University of North Texas Health at Fort Worth campus. As a collaborative partner, this position will consult with hiring managers to understand business needs, build effective candidate pipelines to meet those needs, and facilitate the selection process for a variety of positions.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field and four years of progressive talent recruiting experience with a focus on executive candidate generation; or any equivalent combination of education, experience or training.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of federal and state laws related to recruitment and employment.
- Knowledge of MS Office Suite and experience with applicant tracking systems.
- Skill with office computer information systems to organize, store, manipulate, and retrieve data.
- Highly effective communication skills both orally and in writing.
- Ability to plan, organize and effectively manage multiple assignments.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and trust with clients, peers and candidates.
- Focus on providing customer service and follow through.
- Skill in decision making and working with confidential information.
- Strong client focus and commitment to continuous improvement; ability to proactively network and establish effective working relationships, must pursue conscious cost containment efforts in recruiting, continually seek new sourcing options and develop creative approaches to delivering candidates.
- Skill in defining and executing recruiting strategy, including employer promotion in the marketplace, candidate management, diversity sourcing and interview process management.
- Consulting skills and ability to work in a team environment, as a team leader and member.
- Strong analytic skills with ability to create, measure, and scale workflow between candidates, hiring managers and recruiting team.
Preferred Qualifications
The preferred candidate will possess the following additional qualifications:
- Experience with high volume recruiting.
- Experience at an institution of higher education.
- PHR/SPHR certification.
- Bilingual English / Spanish.

Job Duties
- Partner closely with hiring managers and HR Business Partners to develop, communicate and execute recruiting plans and strategies. Develop trusting, long term partnerships with all hiring managers.
- Develops and implements creative sourcing strategies to proactively identify candidates and assemble pipeline of talent for open positions, including executive level roles.
- Identifies and builds community partnerships to continually source passive candidates for specialized or niche roles to build a talent pipeline in alignment with organizations hiring and program objectives. Attends and participates in targeted job fairs and recruiting sessions as appropriate.
- Serves as a subject matter expert and resource to support executive recruitment needs, including coaching and development of team members in executive recruitment best practices.
- Collaborates with the hiring manager and/or other human resource staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details.
- Monitors external talent market trends and recruitment best practices to ensure that the university remains competitive in acquiring, leading, and engaging current and future prospective employees. Works closely and collaboratively with campus partners to stay abreast of internal talent needs.
- Consults with hiring managers to ensure all recruitment and sourcing strategies meet federal and state regulatory requirements as well as institutional policies, and to ensure applicant pools in accordance with an overall recruitment strategy.
- Identifies, develops, and implements effective and efficient recruiting initiatives, including executive roles, and is a strategic partner to identified business lines in development of recruiting plans, sourcing strategies and social media campaigns.
- Builds effective relationships with hiring managers to understand talent needs and performs full life cycle recruiting utilizing best practice recruitment methods, systems and technologies.
- Facilitates the selection process including sourcing and recruitment, search committee training, assistance with the interview process, conducting and coordinating interviews, and ensures a positive hiring manager and candidate experience.
- Partners with hiring managers to provide recruitment and selection support and resources, including coaching on best practices and preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.
