The Enrollment Partnerships Department at UNT builds strategic collaborations with K-12 schools, community colleges, and other organizations to create clear pathways and pipelines to the university. These partnerships are designed to support student success from early engagement through degree completion, expanding access to higher education and strengthening academic transitions across educational institutions.
Position Overview
The University Transfer Navigator plays a critical role in supporting transfer pathway students throughout the transfer process from community colleges or other institutions into the university. This position provides personalized academic advising, transfer planning, and resource navigation to prospective students, transfer students, and concurrent enrollment students. The navigator collaborates with institutional partners to ensure seamless transitions, promotes student retention and success, and supports institutional goals related to transfer pathways.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and two years of related professional experience in student services, admission, professional academic advising, or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

* Experience with Microsoft Office Products.
* Good driving record and access to a vehicle.
* Ability to work independently with limited supervision.

* Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends.
* Willingness to travel extensively.

* Knowledge of policies, practices, procedures and terminology of assigned function.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and two (2) years of of related professional experience in higher education student services, admission, academic advising, or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Required License/Registration/Certifications
Driver's license required.
Job Duties
- Provides guidance on transfer admission requirements, eligibility, financial aid, registration, and enrollment procedures for guided partnership pathways from community colleges to UNT.
- Advises prospective transfer students and community college concurrent enrollment students on academic program requirements, degree options, transfer pathways, academic planning, and university expectations. Travel required.
- Promotes guided pathways, articulation agreements, and concurrent enrollment opportunities through outreach, presentations, and partnerships with community colleges and academic departments.
- Serves as the liaison between the university, community college advisors, students, and families to ensure smooth coordination of transfer and concurrent enrollment processes.
- Ensures students understand academic policies, grading standards, degree audits, and the impact of concurrent enrollment on future transfer admission and academic program progression.
- Supports student success and retention initiatives, including orientation sessions, information sessions workshops, and academic support resources.
- Maintains accurate student records, collect data, and track academic progress using advising and enrollment systems.

Work Schedule
Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.; occasional overtime, evenings, and weekends during peak times and special events.
