Department Summary

The Department of Behavior Analysis (DBA) at the University of North Texas (UNT) is renowned for its pioneering role in the field of behavior analysis. The mission of the DBA is to provide a nationally recognized program of learning opportunities for graduate students, fostering the knowledge and skills that enable graduates to compete successfully and contribute significantly to society. Additionally, the department aims to advance the discipline of behavior analysis through applied and basic research that enhances the understanding of human behavior and leads to demonstrable positive behavior change.

The DBA boasts a distinguished faculty with expertise in theoretical, experimental, and applied behavior analysis. It houses several research labs where students can engage in cutting-edge research and practical training. The department offers a comprehensive range of degree programs, including a B.S. in Applied Behavior Analysis, an M.S. in Behavior Analysis, an M.A. in Applied Behavior Analysis, and a Ph.D. in Health Science Research with a concentration in behavior analysis.

UNT has a highly diverse campus with a wide range of languages spoken in addition to English. We welcome candidates who have experience with HSI/MSls and/or who speak Spanish, Vietnamese, American Sign Language, Chinese (Cantonese, Mandarin and other variations), Arabic, Tagalog, Farsi, French, or/and Yoruba.

Position Overview

The Department of Behavior Analysis seeks qualified individuals for its Adjunct Assistant Instructor Pool and welcomes applicants at any time. This posting is for the Fall 2026, Spring 2027, and Summer 2027 semesters. The specific courses involved may vary from semester to semester and openings to teach these courses develop on a periodic basis, depending on department teaching needs.

This job includes corresponding with students, grading written work, providing tutoring to students, and other tasks that may be assigned by the course instructor throughout the duration of the course.

Minimum Qualifications

Completion of some graduate-level coursework in behavior analysis or non-UNT students currently enrolled in a graduate-level degree program in behavior analysis or a closely related field.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with online, asynchronous courses.
Previous experience as a teaching assistant or in a related educational role.
Professional experience in the field of applied behavior analysis is highly desirable.

The person in this position is responsible for performing public relations functions as well as delivering great customer service. The customers in this unit are the School of Merchandising and Hospitality Management Director, Staff, Chairs, Faculty and External constituencies including internal and external guests that enter the SMHM Director's suite. It is necessary for the person in this position to be flexible in multitasking and changing from task to another quickly. Interruptions of scheduled work may occur; thus, flexibility is necessary to accomplish the work in a timely manner. This role ensures the efficient, professional, and respectful transportation of deceased individuals in accordance with departmental protocols and legal requirements. The Supervisor will lead the recruitment, training, and scheduling of transport personnel, maintain supply inventories, address staff performance issues and updating protocols. This position requires oversight of a 24/7 operation, ensuring staff availability for round-the-clock coverage and providing technical support to transport personnel.

The UNT Dallas College of Law invites applications for the position of Assistant Director for Curriculum Management and Student Aid. The Assistant Director of Curriculum Management and Student Aid will report to (1) the UNT Dallas College of Law Law Registrar and (2) the UNT Dallas Director of Financial Aid, depending on the responsibilities involved. This position combines the responsibilities of curriculum management as well as administers the law school's student financial aid. This position monitors the academic needs of our students to provide guidance to academic affairs regarding those findings, ensures student enrollment is properly executed and academic records and course examinations are properly structured.
