The Department of Criminal Justice is committed to excellence in teaching, research, and service. Our faculty is comprised of nationally recognized scholars focusing on interdisciplinary solutions to the complex problems of crime and disorder.

Position Overview

The Department of Criminal Justice seeks qualified individuals for its Adjunct Instructor pool and welcomes applicants at any time. This posting is for the Fall 2026, Spring 2027 and Summer 2027 semesters.

The anticipated need is for Adjunct Instructors whose duties may include, but are not limited to teaching the following courses:

Minimum Qualifications

A master's degree in the discipline or a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours directly related to the assigned courses(s).

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree in Criminal Justice from an accredited college or university; experience teaching Criminal Justice courses; experience teaching online courses.

Senior Administrative Coordinator

The Senior Administrative Coordinator provides high-level administrative and operational support for the College of Education, with primary responsibility for coordinating purchasing activities in accordance with university policies and State of Texas requirements. The position manages purchasing and reimbursement processes, maintains purchasing documentation, supports financial and personnel transactions during peak periods, develops procedures, and trains administrative staff. The Lab Animal Technician provides essential daily husbandry and animal care for laboratory animals housed in the within the Vivarium Animal Lab. Working under direct supervision of the Research Animal Lab Manager, this position performs essential daily animal care tasks and supports operations to ensure that facility maintains the highest standard of excellence is provided for humane animal care. The position's performance of job duties must also maintain compliance for operations within a bio secure facility environment in accordance with institutional standard operating procedures and all applicable regulatory standards.

Adjunct Instructor - Counseling and Human Services Fall 2027

UNT Dallas is bridging the gap between education and workforce readiness through our innovative Classroom to Career initiative. This initiative integrates experiential learning—such as internships, service learning, and project-based collaborations with industry partners—into every student’s academic journey. By emphasizing high-impact practices, UNT Dallas is seeking qualified individuals to establish a robust pool of talented adjunct instructors for our growing counseling programs. Selected candidates will be responsible for teaching master's-level counseling courses across multiple formats including face-to-face, hybrid, and online instruction using Canvas learning management system. The ideal candidates will demonstrate enthusiasm for teaching excellence and dedication to student success. Beginning Spring 2027 semester, teaching opportunities will be available in Group Counseling, Family Counseling, Substance Abuse Treatment, Professional School Counseling, Practicum in School Counseling, and Career Counseling. Candidates will be drawn from this talent pool as positions become available. As our programs continue to expand, additional teaching opportunities may arise across our counseling curriculum.
