Position Overview

The R3STEM Mentor coaches R3STEM Teaching Fellows and observes at least one time each during the Fall and Spring semesters. The R3STEM Mentor will provide mentoring to develop the dispositions, knowledge and skills required of novice teachers and conduct meetings with teachers and district personnel as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

Master's in Mathematics, Science, and/or Engineering.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Understands content specific curriculum.
Mentor is able to assist mentees in processing stress and to help them grow professionally.
Mentors are active listeners and are able to offer constructive feedback.
Mentors have interpersonal strengths that support mentees emotionally, and allow mentees to develop confidence.

Preferred Qualifications

Ph.D. in Mathematics, Science, Engineering and/or Curriculum and Instruction. Experience as a secondary Mathematics, Science, and/or Engineering Teacher.

Job Duties

Observes R3STEM Teaching Fellows at least once during the Fall and Spring semester.
Mentors R3STEM Teaching Fellows to develop dispositions, knowledge and skills required of novice teachers.
Mentor meets with teachers and district personnel as needed.

Physical Requirements

Communicating with others to exchange information.
Lifting and moving objects up to 20 pounds.

Custodian

This position is responsible for the cleaning and sanitation work of the University, or on special projects. Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to: Sweeps, mops, scrubs, strips, waxes, and buffs floors, hallways, and stairways and cleans and vacuums, carpets and rugs. Cleans and dusts furniture, walls, ceilings, windows, windowsills, woodwork, and other building surfaces. Cleans and sanitizes rest rooms, baths, commodes, urinals, lavatories, drinking fountains, and other fixtures. Picks up and removes trash and other waste from building and cleans waste receptacles and transports recyclable materials to drop off point on a scheduled basis. Unlocks building doors as required for building functions and programs. Moves furniture for cleaning purposes. Observes safety and security precautions appropriate to work performed.

Clinical Nurse Manager

The Clinical Nurse Manager will work in partnership with the Clinic Managers and Medical Directors to administer and coordinate all clinical and nursing obligations within UNT Health Clinical Practice Group locations.
