We provide innovative programs and support to enhance the relationship between teaching and learning at the University of North Texas. Libraries Technology and Computer Operations (Lib TACO) provides IT solutions and support for the UNT Libraries. This includes staff workstations and software, student computer lab workstations, printing, esports & gaming, design and maintenance of lab facilities, makerspace initiatives, electronic resources, and things yet to come.

Position Overview

This position is responsible for over-site and daily operations of:
Library mail services, coordinating with Eagle post as well as UNT mail, and the Library mail room
The coordination of the Library courier services for the library including managing a part time team
Purchasing and budget maintenance: Ordering and maintaining the supplies including inventory, maintains and reconciles budget spreadsheet for assigned area and Pcard usage/reconciliation.
The library fleet of vehicles, gas cards, coordination of maintenance and authorized drivers
Event coordination for all Library facilities: responsible for event calendar management for events, ensure tech and facilities are ready for events, liaise with stakeholders
Office administrative duties for the department, managing the over site of daily operation including filing, answering phones, managing senior staff calendars, meeting minutes, and drafting correspondence, etc.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and three years' of highly responsible and varied office administration or business management experience; or any equivalent combination of experience, education, and training

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

* Exceptional customer service skills.
* Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
* Knowledge of accounting/budgeting procedures.
* Ability to work under pressure, to adjust to constant changes, to handle multiple tasks, and to coordinate the work of others.
* Ability to keep complex records, to assemble and organize data of complex nature, and to prepare and submit reports in acceptable formats.
* Ability to conceptualize, plan and organize multiple programs and assignments effectively.
* Ability to work on complex and confidential tasks utilizing judgment, tact, and resourcefulness.
* Skill in developing and maintaining good working relationships.
* Knowledge of policies, practices, procedures and terminology of assigned function.
* Supervisory skills.

• Bachelor’s degree
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Ability to manage and supervise a team effectively.

• In depth understanding of office management and daily operations
• Familiarity with best practices for mail room, mail distribution services
• Familiarity with relevant regulations and guidelines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle issues promptly
• Hands on experience with MS Office
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Familiarity with inventory management practices
• Ability to lift/move boxes/furniture repeatedly
• Ability to take the initiative, work independently, and troubleshoot in a fast paced, work environment
