The mission of the Division of Student Affairs is to create transformational experiences for all HSC students by providing tailored support and fostering holistic development. There are 8 functional units within the Division of Student Affairs: Center for Student Life, Career Readiness Center, Center for Academic Performance, Office of Care and Civility, Testing and Evaluation Services, International Services, Office of Disability Access, and Student Assistance Resource Center.
Position Overview
The Division of Student Affairs at the University of North Texas Health Science Center is seeking to hire a Senior Student Services Coordinator to join the Office of Care and Civility. The Senior Coordinator will focus on coordinating and providing programs and outreach efforts for HSC students. This programming encompasses educational efforts including in-person activities as well as virtual engagement opportunities. This position also actively manages departmental social media accounts and creates resources to assist in marketing and student success efforts.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to organize work effectively, conceptualize and prioritize objectives and exercise independent judgment based on an understanding of organizational policies and activities.
- Establish and maintain effective work relationships with students, faculty, staff and the public.
- Ability to work on multiple projects with varying deadlines in a high paced, time-sensitive environment.
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- Communicate effectively through all modalities and professionally represent the department and HSC.
Preferred Qualifications
Masters degree in education, communication, public health, or related field and 2 years of experience with hosting events.

Job Duties:
- Co-lead departmental assessments of student wellbeing. Use assessment data to help develop a wellbeing promotion plan. Design, facilitate, and track programming efforts related to Be|Well.
- Lead program marketing and assist in overall departmental outreach efforts. Conduct presentations for faculty, students, and staff with a focus on wellbeing and collaborate with HSC and community partners for wellbeing promotion events and activities.
- Provide leadership for sexual misconduct prevention, substance abuse prevention, and suicide prevention initiatives. Assist with other Office of Care and Civility initiatives.
- Facilitate programming related to wellbeing, prevention, and relevant legislation for the HSC community.

- Communicating with others to exchange information.
- Lifting and Moving objects up to 20 pounds.
- Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing.
- Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.
- Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.

- No adverse environmental conditions expected.
Work Schedule:
Monday – Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm; with occasional evenings or weekends as required for divisional events.
