The mission of the Division of Student Affairs is to create transformational experiences for all UNT Health students by providing tailored support and fostering holistic development. There are eight functional units within the Division of Student Affairs: Center for Student Life, Career Readiness Center, Center for Academic Performance, Office of Care and Civility, Testing and Evaluation Services, International Services, Office for Disability Access, and Student Assistance Resource Center.
Position Overview
The Division of Student Academic Affairs at the University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth is seeking to hire a part-time Student Services Assistant to join the Office of Disability Access (ODA). This hourly position provides essential administrative, operational, and testing support for the Office of Disability Access. The Student Services Assistant helps maintain organized systems for records and data management, supports daily office operations, assists with communications to students and faculty, and provides dependable backup coverage for accommodated testing. This position is 19 hours per week, with scheduling flexibility based on office needs and exam periods.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and one (1) year of related administrative, student services, or customer-service experience, or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and customer-service orientation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and comfort learning new systems (e.g., AIM, DocuSign, Canva).
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Commitment to creating a respectful, accessible, and inclusive campus environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in higher education, particularly within student services, disability support, or testing administration.
- Familiarity with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act.
- Experience with testing coordination, scheduling systems, or proctoring.
- Experience using databases or case management systems such as AIM.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment in making decisions related to departmental functions.

Job Duties
- Records Management: Process applications and documentation in AIM (student record database); maintain accurate records; monitor workflows for timely letters and updates.
- Student & Faculty Support: Conduct informational appointments; assist with scheduling; respond to routine inquiries on ODA processes.
- Operational & Outreach Support: Prepare reports, data summaries, correspondence; provide admin support for workshops/events.
- Testing & Exam Support: Backup proctoring; monitor exams; assist with exam paperwork and logistics.

- Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
