Position Overview

Career Coach and Internship Coordinator in the G Brint Ryan College of Business

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in related field and two years of student services, student affairs, counseling, advising, or related experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including faculty, staff, administration, employers, and student organizations
• Ability to attend to details while prioritizing among multiple projects

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in business, higher education, and/or workforce development
• Master’s degree in a related field, or a combination of education and relevant experience

Job Duties

  • Delivers comprehensive career development, workplace readiness, and internship preparation programs for UNT graduate students, in alignment with current policies and guidelines of the university, the UNT Career Center, Wilson Jones Career Center, Graduate Programs Office, G. Brint Ryan College of Business, academic departments, and applicable laws/regulations. 
  • Interacts with graduate students in person and online, for individual and group coaching on career planning, assessment tools, resumes, cover letters, interviewing, internships, and job search strategies, and the use of relevant resources. 
  • Facilitates the for-credit internship approval process for graduate students. Utilizes designated system(s) to verify accurate information, ensure compliance with academic requirements, resolve obstacles, and process approvals within short timelines. 
  • Creates and delivers outreach activities, workshops, presentations, and informational materials to promote career planning, internship preparation, and employer recruitment. 
  • Collects and documents accurate data records to track the activities of students both individually and in aggregate. Produces timely and relevant data reports for analysis and evaluation. Accesses and utilizes confidential student information with strict adherence to data safety protocols. 
  • Develops and maintains professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders using a customer service approach. Actively participates in collaborative initiatives, team meetings, and planning sessions. Assists team members with mutual backup. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

Provides Tier 2 Service Desk support for CAS IT's supported units (COS, CLASS, and COI), working from a shared queue rather than a fixed college assignment. Alternates between phone/walk-in coverage and ticket resolution, with ticket resolution expected as the default when calls are not active. Oversees the work activities of assigned site custodial personnel for the purpose of ensuring activities are completed within assigned time frames and in compliance with campus standards. Works under moderate supervision that relies on initiative and good judgment to be an effective leader.

UNT Retail Dining Services, Food Service Specialist

The Food Service Specialist within UNT Retail Dining Services is responsible for delivering high-quality food and exceptional customer service in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. This position supports daily operations by preparing and serving menu items, maintaining food safety and sanitation standards, and ensuring a clean and welcoming dining area for students, faculty, staff, and guests.

LVN

The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) provides nursing care and clinical support for patients in a healthcare setting. The LVN assists in the delivery of patient care for individuals who are ill, injured, or seeking preventive health services. Working under the supervision of a registered nurse, physician, or other licensed healthcare provider, the LVN performs clinical procedures, monitors patient conditions, and supports the healthcare team in implementing treatment plans.

Assistant Residence Hall Director (Live-in position)

This person assists the Community Director and serves as a live-in leader and general caretaker to students in the residence hall. Tasks include assisting with the implementation of student development concepts through programs and discipline, assisting with the monitoring of facilities, and supporting University programs and efforts. These responsibilities may vary from building to building.

LVN

HSC Health is seeking a compassionate LVN to join our dynamic team of healthcare providers at the University of North Texas Clinical Practice Group with the Center for Older Adults. This role requires a candidate with strong organizational skills, a wide set of interests and skill set, and strong interpersonal communication abilities. Candidate must have the ability to assess patients quickly and accurately. Exhibits compassion, understanding, the ability to work well in teams, and the ability to function in a fast-paced environment is critical for this position.
