Position Overview
Serves as the UNT Health Fort Worth university official responsible for knowledge of Title IX regulations, OCR reporting requirements, and related federal compliance frameworks. responsible for developing, implementing, coordinating, and overseeing compliance with all aspects of Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 (Title IX), the Violence Against Women Reauthorization Act (VAWA) and Campus SaVe Act. Skilled in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting sensitive case data to produce accurate, timely compliance reports. Ability to maintain secure, detailed records and use data systems to monitor case progress, identify trends, and support institutional decision‑making. Proven capacity to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for leadership while ensuring adherence to confidentiality and regulatory standards. Responsible for monitoring the ongoing publication of the university’s related regulations and policies, compliant investigation of complaints and overall activities for compliance with Title IX requirements; and assuring dissemination of the grievance procedure.
While this position is hybrid, the majority of the work week will be present on-campus. The schedule is dependent on programming, events, training, etc., and will fluctuate as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in counseling, psychology, or other related field, and three years of experience investigating and resolving allegations of sexual misconduct/sexual violence, discrimination, harassment, and retaliation or in administering a comprehensive program addressing Title IX compliance; or any equivalent combination of education, experience, or training.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
*Demonstrated knowledge of non-discrimination laws and regulations, including Title IX, Title VII (Civil Rights compliance) and all related areas of Equal Opportunity, sexual harassment, sexual misconduct, discrimination, related retaliation and other applicable laws and regulations and experience in complaint resolutions and investigations
*Demonstrated knowledge of Title IX, Violence Against Women Act (VAWA), ADA/Section 504, Campus SaVE Act, Title VII and Clery Act
*Ability to design, update and deliver Title IX training (workshops, webinars, compliance briefings) for employees, students and Title IX and Equal Opportunity (EO) team members
*Comprehensive working knowledge of all Human Resources/Employee Relations, Faculty and Student functions
*Experience assessing compliance obligations in an academic, research, or another complex compliance environment
*Ability to ensure meticulous documentation of all Title IX related matters, consistent with law and regulatory expectations for reporting and data analytics
*Strong investigation and project management skills including writing, research, organization, and prioritization abilities

*Five years of experience investigating and resolving allegations of sexual misconduct/sexual violence, discrimination, harassment, and retaliation or in administering a comprehensive program addressing Title IX compliance; or any equivalent combination of education, experience, or training.

Job Duties
- Serves as Title IX Coordinator as designated by the UNT Health Fort Worth president.
- Ensures prompt, equitable and impartial Title IX processes for all students, faculty, staff and third parties. Maintains appropriate separation of responsibilities for coordinators, investigators, and decision-makers. Receives and oversees investigation of complaints of sexual misconduct, discrimination, sexual harassment, and related retaliation. Directs effective responses to reports of sexual misconduct. Leads the informal resolution process for related reports.
- Working in close collaboration with the AVC of EO, EO Director, Human Resources, Faculty Affairs and Student and Academic Affairs to facilitate appropriate supportive measures, information resolution and other related actions Title IX and sanctioning.
- Prepares and delivers awareness, education, and prevention training and activities to members of the UNT Health Fort Worth community. Responsible for the delivery and continuous development of training for students (including orientation) and faculty and staff. Works closely with UNT Health Forth Worth Student Activity programs related to awareness events on campus (this includes tabling events). Disseminates educational materials, including printed and web-based, on Title IX rights, responsibilities, and campus and external resources. Provides consultations to individuals about reporting options, processes, rights, and resources available at UNT Health Fort Worth and in the community. Responsible for maintenance of related webpage content and all distributed communication (flyers, brochures, publications, etc.)
- Assesses Title IX compliance programming, in collaboration with Student Affairs and other institutional departments. Leads the strategic vision, implementation, and assessment of Title IX compliance for the institution.
- Prepares quarterly and compliance reports for the President, and annual reports for the Board of Regents and the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB). Collaborates with other institutional compliance subject matter experts to review and develop regulations, policies and procedures and make change recommendations to leadership. Stays informed of pending and final changes to legislation and other laws or regulations.
- Manages the formal grievance processes including resolution provisions for live hearings. Maintains grievance files, disposition reports and other records regarding Title IX compliance and in coordination with the Case Manager.
- Responsible for reviewing and revision of all related policies and procedures. Prioritizes compliance requirements, analyzes compliance data, and coordinates compliance committees and educational presentations. Develop effective written communications and guidance documents for distribution.
