Department Summary
The Department of Personalized Health and Well-Being is bringing together an interprofessional team to develop innovative educational programs and research endeavors that focus on merging evidence-based lifestyle medicine with National Board for Health and Wellness Coaches (NBHWC) coaching competencies. Our graduates will be equipped with the knowledge and clinical skills to collaborate effectively within interdisciplinary healthcare teams and to integrate behavior change theories into the delivery of medical nutrition therapy, preparing them to lead in advancing patient-centered, whole-person care.
Position Overview
The Academic Program Manager plays a key role in supporting student development and success by overseeing academic progress, supervised practice hours, and competency attainment. This position includes advising and recruiting students, promoting the program at community events, managing social media outreach, and using data to support continuous improvement. The manager collaborates with faculty, staff, and external partners to provide a coordinated and student-centered academic experience.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and four (4) years of related experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel.
- Ability to analyze situations and data to implement appropriate solutions, and create assessment reports.
- Detail and service oriented.
- Ability to plan, organize, and effectively manage multiple assignments and projects.
Preferred Qualifications
- Credentialed as Registered Dietitian (RD) or Nutrition and Dietetics Technician, Registered (NDTR).
- Master’s degree.
- Prior experience in advising or mentoring students.
Job Duties
- Oversees the development of students through coordinated academic support, mentoring, and student engagement.
- Collects, assesses, and interprets program data to support continuous improvement and student success.
- Monitors student performance, content engagement, completion of supervised practice hours, and attainment of competencies.
- Advises current and prospective students, provides support to students from application to graduation.
- Participates in community events, informational sessions, and student recruitment activities.
- Manages program social media accounts to enhance visibility and engagement.
- Responds to information requests from prospective students.
- Collaborates with faculty, staff, and external stakeholders to ensure effective program delivery and continuous improvement.

Work Schedule
Monday - Friday; 8:00am-5:00pm, hybrid schedule (remote and in-office work required).
