Department Summary

The Honors College helps approximately 2,000 undergraduate students get the most out of their UNT experience by providing in-class and extracurricular activities that are broader, deeper, or more complex than the norm. Honors College members may take Honors courses, engage in undergraduate research, participate in Honors College programming, live in Honors College housing, and enjoy other membership benefits. The goal of the Honors College is to help these students build an excellent foundation that prepares them for studying at the graduate level and establishing a fulfilling career.

UNT has a highly diverse campus with a wide range of languages spoken in addition to English. We welcome candidates who have experience with HSI/MSIs and/or who speak Spanish, Vietnamese, American Sign Language, Chinese (Cantonese, Mandarin and other variations), Arabic, Tagalog, Farsi, French, or/and Yoruba.

Position Overview

The Honors College seeks qualified individuals for its Adjunct Instructor pool and welcomes applicants at any time. This posting is for the Fall 2025,Spring 2026 and Summer 2026 semesters.

The Honors College seeks qualified individuals to teach HNRS 1000: First Year Seminar .

Minimum Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess the following required qualifications:
Masters degree or the completion of 18 hours of graduate level coursework as part of a masters degree program.
Previous experience working with Honors College students.
Previous experience in higher education including student life, admissions, or academics.

Preferred Qualifications

Strong communication and organizational skills.
