Department Summary

The Department of Political Science undergraduate program offers students the opportunity to specialize in American Politics, Comparative Politics, International Relations, and Political Theory. The department also has strengths in areas that bridge traditional sub-field boundaries, such as Peace and Conflict, Political Institutions, and Race and Ethnic Politics. Exceptional students may apply to complete a Masters degree in political science while an undergraduate student.

Position Overview

The Department of Political Science seeks qualified individuals for its Adjunct Instructor pool and welcomes applicants at any time. This posting is for the Fall 2024, Spring 2025 and Summer 2025 semesters. The specific courses involved may vary from semester to semester and openings to teach these courses develop on a periodic basis, depending on department teaching needs.

The anticipated need is for teaching introductory political science courses.

Minimum Qualifications

Master degree in political science or related fields

Preferred Qualifications

Teaching experience in political science or related fields. Teaching experience with undergraduate students
