Position Overview
To serve as initial department representative, purchasing, reporting, travel, and as well as performing general office functions. Provide backup support and works closely with the Senior Administrative Coordinator.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and three years' of highly responsible and varied office administration or business management experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

* Knowledge of accounting/budgeting procedures.

Job Duties:
- Academic Departmental Administrative Support – Provides support to the department by processing, tracking, and maintaining required academic and financial operations. Stays up to date on all ADTA programs and activities. Maintains proficiency with relevant software and completes training as necessary. Provide administrative backup as needed in instances of illness, vacation, attrition or other situations as needed. Provides superior administrative support and customer service to internal and external constituents and the UNT community.
- Purchasing – Assists with ensuring that office supplies are maintained, equipment purchasing, requisition/purchase order/invoice processing, reconciling monthly p-card charges, IDT processing, coordinating facility rental/catering arrangements, tracking department funds and submitting work orders as needed. Stays up to date with university procedures and guidelines related to purchasing. All purchasing processes are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Travel –Prepares and processes travel for students, faculty and staff members. Make travel arrangements for department employees and process dues, membership, conference payments. Stays up to date with university procedures and guidelines related to travel. All travel processes are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Human Resources – Serves as an HR liaison and is responsible for assisting HR processes. Responsible for assisting in the hiring process by sending offer letters, processing e-pars, ensuring I-9 compliance, and the overall onboarding process. Monitors the hourly payroll to ensure that employees are paid on time and assists with the manual entry of time when required. Hires, trains, leads, & evaluates student office Attends monthly A-Team and HR Liaison meetings.
- Communication – Serves as a liaison and point of contact with students, faculty, staff, and the external community. Communicates clearly, concisely, and respectfully. Responds promptly to verbal and written requests. Maintains a welcoming departmental environment, including in office reception, answering and routing inquiries, and special events.
