Department Summary
The successful candidate will be a part of the Department of Multidisciplinary Innovation (DMI), a multidisciplinary department with a highly collaborative and collegial culture housed within the College of Applied and Collaborative Studies (CACS). We are a leader in project-based education, providing students unique opportunities to learn through collaboration with industry partners and other UNT academic units. DMI offers classes and serves students on both the Denton and Frisco campuses as well as online.
Position Overview
The purpose of this position is to provide administrative support for the Department of Multidisciplinary Innovation. Class scheduling, calendaring, meeting scheduling, ePAR generation, enrollment analysis, scholarship and events support, special projects, assisting with student and visitor inquiries, supporting faculty and staff, and providing direct administrative support to the Department Chair.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and three years' of highly responsible and varied office administration or business management experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Exceptional customer service skills. Advanced written communication skills. Advanced Microsoft Office skills. Knowledge of accounting/budgeting procedures. Ability to work under pressure, to adjust to constant changes, to handle multiple tasks, and to coordinate the work of others. Ability to keep complex records, to assemble and organize data of complex nature, and to prepare and submit reports in acceptable formats. Ability to conceptualize, plan and organize multiple programs and assignments effectively. Ability to work on complex and confidential tasks utilizing judgment, tact, and resourcefulness. Skill in developing and maintaining good working relationships. Knowledge of policies, practices, procedures and terminology of assigned function.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with providing administrative support in an academic environment. Exceptional and verifiable customer service experience. Exceptional Microsoft Office experience. Experience with EIS, Epars, Courseleaf, Concur and People Admin.
Required License/Registration/Certifications
Job Duties:
- Responsible for processing ePARs, Concur Travel and Pcard, class scheduling in Courseleaf
- Provides administrative and customer service related services in support of the department.
- Supervise student workers and provide time keeping
- Room scheduling, special projects, and timely delivery of materials to stakeholders
- Prepare agendas and make arrangements, such as coordinating for luncheons, for special events.
Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday 8am to 5pm, with occasional weekend

Special Instructions:
This position is based at the UNT at Frisco campus but may require occasional travel to the Denton campus.
