The 46,000 square-foot Athletic Center located off South Bonnie Brae Street is the centerpiece of North Texas athletics. Position Overview
This position will be involved in the strategic development of engaging digital and multimedia video content concepts and bringing those concepts to fruition, utilizing a high degree of artistic and creative freedom. This position involves planning, filming, editing, and post-production work, to produce creative content to be used for social media assets and strategy, venue video boards and other various Athletics events.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in in related field and two years' of related experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge and understanding of NCAA rules and regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite software, specifically Premiere, After Effects and Photoshop. Knowledge in production techniques including videography, compression and file delivery. Knowledge of camera, lighting, sound and editing. Understanding of online video environment and online distribution. Demonstrated ability to perform repairs on a wide variety of audio, visual and computer equipment. Ability to adapt equipment setup and provide alternative setup or workarounds if necessary. Good interpersonal skills, judgment, and diplomacy required to interact effectively with and provide customer service to a broad audience. Ability to work independently as well as effectively in a collaborative team environment. Effective time management skills. Knowledge and understanding of NCAA rules and regulations.
Required License/Registration/Certifications
Job Duties:
- Work with the Creative Team and coaching staffs to develop a strategy for original video concepts in alignment with the Mean Green brand and the team story.
- Capture and edit high-quality video footage for digital and multimedia use.
- Produce creative video content that captures the interest of fans, tells the team and student-athlete story, and represents the athletics department.
- Use imagination and artistry to create graphics for use in competition venues, at other athletic department special events.
- Be knowledgeable of technology, software and hardware, that can be used to assist with capturing and producing innovative video content.
- Assist with project management and event scheduling.
- Oversee the Creative Video Intern program.
Work Schedule:
Monday thru Friday. 8:00AM - 5:00PM. Some evenings and weekends.
