The Division of Advancement is seeking to hire an Assistant Director Prospect Management and Prospect Analytics to join our team.
Position Overview
Under general direction from the Senior Director of Prospect Strategy and Research, the Assistant Director of Prospect Management and Prospect Analytics plays a critical role in advancing the university’s fundraising goals by leading efforts to identify, evaluate, and manage potential donors. This position supports strategic prospect development through data analysis, portfolio optimization, and collaboration with frontline fundraisers. The ideal candidate is a proactive, analytical thinker with a passion for using data to drive philanthropic success.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and 4 years of experience in donor relations/stewardship/alumni relations, communications, non-profit/program management, fundraising, marketing/PR or customer service; or any combination of education, training, and related experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
* Advanced mathematical and technical ability
* Advanced analytical and reasoning skills
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel and Word
* Knowledge of accounting/budgeting procedures
* Ability to work under pressure, to adjust to constant changes, to handle multiple tasks, and to coordinate the work of others
* Ability to work on complex and confidential tasks utilizing judgment, tact, and resourcefulness
* Skill in developing and maintaining good working relationships
Preferred Qualifications
3 years of experience in prospect research, prospect management, data analytics, or data analysis
Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Ellucian, Salesforce, Raiser’s Edge) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Job Duties
- Prospect Management * Partner with development officers to maintain and optimize prospect portfolios * Manage major and principal opportunity pipeline including generating pipeline reports for Advancement Leadership * Facilitate regular portfolio reviews and recommend strategies for prospect movement and engagement * Ensure accurate and timely updates to prospect records in the CRM system * Develop and maintain policies and procedures for prospect management.
- Prospect Analytics * Design and execute data models to identify high-potential prospects using wealth screening, engagement metrics, descriptive analytics, and predictive analytics * Create dashboards and reports to monitor fundraising performance, pipeline health, and portfolio activity * Collaborate with Advancement Services to ensure data integrity and effective use of analytics tools. * Provide strategic insights to inform campaign planning and donor engagement strategies.
- Collaboration & Strategy * Serve as a key liaison between Prospect Development and frontline fundraising teams. * Support campaign planning and goal-setting through data-informed recommendations. * Train and support staff on prospect management best practices and tools. * Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in fundraising operations.

Work Schedule
