Department Summary
The University of North Texas competes as a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the American Conference. North Texas’ athletic programs are classified as NCAA Division I, the largest and highest division among all colleges and universities. The 46,000 square-foot Athletic Center located off South Bonnie Brae Street is the centerpiece of North Texas athletics. Position Overview
This position is responsible for conceptualizing visual ways to illustrate ideas and subjects and to photograph and edit photography. This individual in this role uses their creative eye and technical skills to identify and capture commercial style images that help tell the story of UNT Athletics.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in in related field and two years of related experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Sports photography experience
Knowledge and understanding of NCAA rules and regulations

Job Duties
- Responsible for the day-to-day oversight of photographic needs within UNT Athletics
- Create plan for display of largescale graphics displayed throughout athletics facilities
- Oversees student photographer program. Assists in the training and professional development of fulltime staff and student workers
- Schedules and executes a large variety of photography assignments including athletic competitions, special events, and studio photography
- Effectively and efficiently labels and archives all images, both past and present. Fulfills internal and external media photography requests
- Assists the athletic department creative and communications team with content and graphic creation to elevate the UNT Athletics brand
- Provides up to date images of current student athletes to assist with branding including but not limited to INFLCR and Create photo galleries on MeanGreenSports.com
- Support digital media staff with photo contribution and curation for UNT social media accounts
- Develop schedule and procedures in conjunction with Senior Associate Athletic Director to support sport programs in recruiting needs
