The University of North Texas at Dallas invites applications for Adjunct Instructor positions in the Emergency Services Administration program for Academic Year 2025–2026. Successful candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in teaching and contribute to the continued growth and development of the Department of Criminal Justice and Sociology.

Position Overview
Delivering high-quality instruction in one or more courses in the Emergency Services Administration program. Courses are offered in a fully online format and are designed to support current and aspiring leaders in the fire and emergency medical services.
• Planning classes, implementing course materials, and assessing student learning outcomes.
• Maintaining regular communication with students and holding appropriate office hours (virtual or in-person) for academic support.
• Engaging in course development and refinement as needed, including participation in online teaching.
Minimum Qualifications
A Master’s degree in a related discipline (Fire and Emergency Services Administration, Fire Science, Emergency Management, Public Administration, or a closely related field)
• At least 18 graduate credit hours relevant to the Emergency Services Administration curriculum.
• Documented teaching experience or relevant field experience in emergency services or public safety.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Engaging in course development and refinement as needed, including participation in online teaching.
Preferred Qualifications
A Ph.D. or terminal degree in a related discipline.
• Significant experience in fire service administration, emergency medical service administration, and/or emergency management.
• Experience teaching adult learners or working professionals in a post-secondary environment.
• Experience teaching and developing online courses using platforms such as Canvas.
