Position Overview
The research team is searching for a Laboratory Research Coordinator to assist with conduction a NIH sponsored research project. Duties include:
- Ensure the smooth and efficient day-to-day operation of research study and data collection activities including assisting with data collection.
- Maintain and ensure IRB approved procedures remain in place for the duration of the project.
- Monitor the progress of research activities and develop and maintain records of research activities.
- Plan and coordinate the staffing of research study, to include instructing student research assistants as appropriate to specific study objectives and scope of work.
Minimum Qualifications
Master's Degree with major course work in the field of assignment and one year of related experience in the field of assignment; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of basic and advanced research standards, techniques, and methods used in routine research.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and security precautions in keeping with type of research being done.
- Skill in conducting tests and measurements relevant to the research being done.
- Skill in collection and organization of research information and data.
- Strong problem solving skills.
- Ability to work independently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in phlebotomy procedures: IV catheter insertion and/or straight needle stick.
- Experience coordinating studies and research data collection procedures.
- Experience supervising research staff or students.

Job Duties:

Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday; 7:00am to 4:00pm or 8:00am - 5:00pm, some weekend hours are possible.
