Position Overview
This position requires the individual to assist in the set-up, delivery, and monitoring of youth sport event services. These activities include setting up sport equipment to include the following: volleyball nets, basketball drop-down goals, tables, chairs, scoreboards, and other miscellaneous event operating supplies. The individual communicates with coaches, players, and spectators, providing directions and operation assistance. The individual monitors the on-site event activities and addresses customer service issues and reports operation incidents.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in related field with 6 months of prior sport equipment and sport program operation engagement.
- Minimal understanding of sport equipment mechanical use to include net tensions systems, basketball training equipment, audio/visual devices, and the ability to safely lift and place 50 lb. sport equipment devices to manufacture standards.
- Ability to recognize misalignments and improper working equipment.
- Prior experience working with competitive youth sport operations and parent coaches.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- General knowledge of youth sport event operations and appropriate youth sport delivery.
- Knowledge of youth sport equipment and facility management (equipment set-up, safety padding, HVAC systems, lighting systems, scoreboards).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in related field with 1 year of prior competitive youth sport operation delivery and 1 year working with youth sport training equipment and tournament operations.
Job Duties:
- Opening and Closing Building.
- Setting up sport equipment (Volleyball, Basketball, Soccer).
- Managing Sport Equipment (ball compression, net tension, safety securing systems).
- Monitoring facility operation (HVAC/ Lighting/Water Spills/Custodial).
- Monitoring youth sport operations (spectator viewing areas, circulation areas, intensity of play).
Physical Requirements:
- Communicating with others to exchange information.
- Lifting and moving objects up to 50 pounds.
- Moving self in various positions to perform tasks in tight and confined spaces.
- Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles, and the like.
- Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.
- Repetitive motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.

- No adverse environmental conditions expected.
