Department Summary
The UNT Dallas Parking and Transportation Services office is here to provide our campus communities with safe and efficient parking while on campus. We strive for excellent customer service while enforcing our university policies and guidelines. Our team is dedicated to assisting faculty, staff and students through special events, permit management and transportation resources.
Position Overview
Employee will work under general supervision. This means that definite work objectives are set for the employee but methods of performing the tasks are frequently left to the judgment of the employee with occasional instruction or advice provided by the supervisor. The frequency of review by the supervisor depends on the difficulty and complexity of the assignment or on the impact or result of the work performed. While the supervisor is again responsible for the general assignment of work, less control may be exercised over the flow for work and instructions given may be more general in nature. The employee is responsible for the results of the work. Jobs assigned to this level usually require some previous experience, education, or specialized skill.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma and prior experience in a public service, security, law enforcement, or related field.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Familiarity with standard office procedures and administrative practices.
- Proven ability to understand and accurately follow both verbal and written instructions.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with individuals from various educational, cultural, and social backgrounds.
- Quick to learn new tasks, capable of following established procedures, and able to operate common office equipment with growing proficiency.
Preferred Qualifications
- Valid Drivers Licensee.
- At least 2 years experience working in a professional environment.
- Ideal candidate will have automotive experience.
Required License/Registration/Certifications
Job Duties:
- Provide shuttle service, Citation Enforcement, Info Booth/Issue sell permits.
- Assist at reception desk/counter (answer phones, copier, emails, scans).
- May assist in parking responsibilities during special programs and events.
- Vehicle Cleaning/Maintenance Checks.
- Operate motor vehicles, radio transmitters, receivers, and/or other tools and equipment.
- Greets public, answers telephone and takes messages.
- Assist/Dept. Manager/Supervisor with assigned/daily duties.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Work Schedule:
MON - THUR 12 PM - 9 PM , Saturday 8 AM - 5 PM
