Department Summary

The Office of CVAD Galleries at UNT, which comprises three galleries, supports the educational mission of the College of Visual Arts and Design and the university, enriches the aesthetic environment and serves as a cultural resource for the public.

Position Overview

This position provides strategic and creative leadership for the UNT CVAD Galleries, overseeing exhibitions, programming, collections, operations, and partnerships that support the College’s educational and cultural mission. The position develops and manages a dynamic exhibition program that showcases student, faculty, visiting, and professional artists while engaging the university and broader North Texas communities.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in related field and five years of closely related professional experience.

  • Extensive knowledge of University policies and procedures related to functional area (or ability to rapidly assimilate).
  • Extensive knowledge of Texas rules and regulations related to functional area (or ability to rapidly assimilate).
  • In depth knowledge of learning outcomes.
  • Requires knowledge of best practices in assessment as it pertains to higher education and institutional effectiveness including the creation of outcomes, assessment methods and instruments, as well as data analysis, and utilization of reporting results.
  • Ability to plan and conceptualize and make sound business decisions.

The Academic Program Manager serves as a central operational resource for the Director of PIHSP Course, Director of Health Systems Science, Innovation and Leadership, Chair of Medical Education and Health Systems Science, PISHP course and section directors, PIHSP senior academic program manager, faculty, staff, students, and curriculum leadership. The Academic Program Manager coordinates PIHSP components including Ethics, Health Systems Science, Innovation, Patient Safety, Population and Public Health, Interprofessional Education, Health Promotion and Disease Prevention, Health Policy, Health Informatics and Artificial Intelligence, Emotional Intelligence, leadership, and other current and evolving PIHSP content. The employee ensures alignment of activities, objectives, assessments, student experiences, faculty responsibilities, and curricular documentation across all four years.

This position serves as a team leader within the Financial Aid & Scholarship (FAS) Office, manages quality assurance relating to financial aid verification and eligibility counseling and financial aid award packaging required for efficient and compliant administration of financial aid, and possesses a high level of expertise regarding federal, state, and institutional aid administration.
