Department Summary
The University of North Texas at Dallas launched the Center for Experiential Learning
and Career Success (CELCS) in 2025. The Center for Experiential Learning and Career
Success (CELCS) at UNT Dallas serves as a dynamic hub to prepare students for
meaningful careers and lives through hands-on learning and professional development.
The CELCS works to serve this purpose by
• partnering with faculty as key stakeholders to co-design initiatives that integrate
academic rigor with career readiness
• helping students develop "power skills" and character to thrive in a global
workforce, connecting academic learning with real-world experience through
internships, service-learning, and study abroad programs,
• providing tools, resources, and guidance for career exploration, resume building,
interview preparation, and job placement,
• collaborating with employers and community organizations to create impactful
experiential learning opportunities,
• and providing resources and support to integrate experiential learning into
courses and student organizations.
Position Overview
The Project Coordinator is a new role within the recently launched Center for
Experiential Learning and Career Success (CELCS) at the University of North Texas at
Dallas (UNT Dallas). The Project Coordinator is responsible for providing executive,
administrative, project management and analytical support for the Center. Reporting to
the Executive Director of CELCS, the Project Coordinator interacts with other CELCS
staff and interacts with offices within UNT Dallas, including the offices of the President,
Provost, and Vice Presidents as well as a variety of Dallas-area institutional partners
and community stakeholders invested in economic mobility.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in related field and two years of professional related experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

- Knowledge of accounting/budgeting procedures.

- Ability to keep complex records, to assemble and organize data of complex nature, and to prepare and submit reports in acceptable formats.

Job Duties
- Lead project management for CELCS’s strategic priorities and track progress on all projects to ensure Center goals are accomplished and provide regular reports to Executive Director.
- Organize meetings and assist with special event logistics, ensure professional execution of all events; manages the CELCS staff team calendar, supports Executive Director by scheduling and confirming team meetings and external meetings when needed.
- Manage CELCS budget by preparing, monitoring, and maintaining control of expenditure within CELCS budget, providing Executive Director with a monthly report.
- Manage all contracts, payments, and requisitions with external vendors by working with vendors and university procurement departments, maintaining a positive relationship with all partners.
- Manages all revenue transactions ensuring CELCS revenue streams are properly accounted for. Manage CELCS for general administrative and HR needs including but not limited to copying, preparing letters, spreadsheets, presentations and forms.
- Ensure all team members have the necessary support to hire, onboard, and complete performance evaluations.
- Prepare and process check requests and requisitions. Make P-Card purchases for supplies, food items, registration fees, supplies, and subscriptions. Monitor inventory of supplies and orders supplies as necessary.
- Build rapport with diverse program partners, to maintain and sustain CELCS’s community trust and respect.
- Assists staff, faculty, students, and the public with general questions.
- Lead by example in living the UNT System core values in relation to self-management and interacting with internal & external stakeholders through the lens of accelerating upward mobility.
- Support staff members with administrative and other needs.
