Department Summary

The UNT Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) offers a comprehensive range of programs, from undergraduate to doctoral, with a focus on both theoretical and practical aspects of computer science and engineering, including research in areas like AI, cybersecurity, and software engineering.

Position Overview

This position supports the Army Research Laboratory (ARL) funded project by developing a MATLAB-based simulator for signal propagation. The research assistant will collaborate with the PI to model, simulate, and analyze wireless signal behavior in various environments.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics or a related field. Proficiency in MATLAB programming. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Experience using MATLAB for simulation and data visualization.
  • Ability to work independently and document research code clearly.
  • Good communication skills for research collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous research or internship experience in MATLAB coding signal propagation simulation.

Job Duties:

  • Develop MATLAB code to simulate signal propagation in various environments.
  • Collaborate with the PI and research team for regular updates and planning.

Work Schedule:

Up to 10 hours per week during the semester, flexible scheduling based on project needs.
