Position Overview
The Senior Maintenance Technician completes work in a manner that retains and improves customer satisfaction and quality of the surrounding area. Some of the work performed includes the following: removal and installation of floor tile, carpet tile, cove base, ceiling tile and grid; furniture and equipment assembly; room quality inspection and repair; assisting with furniture moves and event setups. This position also provides backup support for Locksmith and Fleet mechanic.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED and two (2) years' of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Minimum of 3 years experience in the use of standard hand tools.
Ability to satisfactorily perform tasks related to two of these trades- (Building maintenance, furniture assembly, locksmithing, auto repair)
Ability to maintain or improve customer relationships;
Ability to work in a fast paced environment;
Ability to use two-way radios to communicate;
Ability to use a computer for communication, data entry and research;
English speaking, bilingual skills a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience assembling modular furniture.
Experience in building maintenance
Experience as a locksmith or automotive technician is a plus
Required License/Registration/Certifications
Valid Texas Drivers License
Job Duties:
- Inspect all building interiors, correcting deficiencies with floors, ceilings, walls, furniture.
- Plan, design and install a variety wall mounted items using appropriate anchors.
- Coordinate with customers to ensure work quality and timeline meets their expectations.
- Prioritize work requests by setting priorities based on safety concerns, type of work, customer expectations, time and other factors.
- Create and maintain records for all work performed and purchases.
- Use a computer to organize daily tasks, communicate, enter data and complete training.
- Assist with moves, event set ups and other tasks when needed.
Work Schedule:
Normal hours are Monday through Friday 7am-4pm. Some work outside of those hours may be necessary, including some weekend work.
