Department Summary
The VPRI Institutional Grants unit is within the Division of Research and Innovation at UNT, a designated Carnegie R1 Research University and a Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI). The VPRI Institutional Grants unit supports the central management and oversight of UNT institutional sponsored research grants. Institutional research grant awards are multifaceted, complex in nature, and support research activities that encompass a broad range of university stakeholders, including faculty, staff, students and the research enterprise community.
Position Overview
This position is responsible for supporting the UNT CRECE ADVANCE grant funded project. The work includes assisting with program planning and development, assisting with program delivery, organization of events, meetings and/or workshops, facilitating assessments, data collection for research and reporting, dissemination of information, developing communications for the program, and budget monitoring.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Higher Education, Psychology, Business, Data Science and four years' of professional related experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

- Ability to adapt to program/project and incorporate creativity and originality.
- Skill in public speaking and delivering presentations to individuals and groups.
- Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems.
- Ability to manage a budget and work within the constraints of that budget.
- Ability to develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work.
- Ability to learn office and university-specific software.
- Ability to establish and maintain a good rapport with university faculty and staff, students, and the general public.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience managing sponsored research grants involving human subjects.

Job Duties:
Organization of program activities:
- Work with the faculty researchers and stakeholders to develop and implement program activities for the grant; this work may include organizing meetings/events, preparing materials used for the grant program, developing presentations and other information for the participants, facilitating grant related workshops, collaborative with the research team to deliver programmatic and research activities, be a point of contact for programmatic activities.
Communications:
- Provide communication support of program/project activities such as development of activity plans, emails required for the program, collaborate with others to develop and maintain the program website and social media accounts, develop materials needed for materials and publications, work with the faculty researchers to disseminate project outcomes.
Budget monitoring:
- Work with grant administrative staff to monitor budget allocation and provide accurate financial planning.
Data Gathering:
- Work with faculty researchers to gather data, understand and use data gathering tools at the university and broader level, collect data for and with the faculty researchers to complete required reports and publications.
- Activities as assigned related to the grant program.
Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week
