Position Overview
This position is responsible for oversight of a three-year project to increase retention rates and Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) waiver use rates of students with experience in foster care. Duties may include program planning and development, budget allocation and monitoring, and oversight of program/project activities including program marketing, program/curriculum development, assessment, and community outreach. This position will also manage a statewide peer mentor program. This is a grant partnership funded by the Moody Foundation and executed by Education Reach for Texans and the University of North Texas. Education Reach for Texans, or Reach, is a 501c3 nonprofit that champions postsecondary education success for students with experience in foster care. This position has guaranteed funding for three years.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Higher Education, Psychology, Business, Data Science and four years' of professional related experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Ability to keep complex records, to assemble and organize data of complex nature, and to prepare and submit reports in acceptable formats.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in social work or other social sciences, and four years of professional related experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Required License/Registration/Certifications
Job Duties:
- Oversees and provides effective leadership in all aspects of the project/program including planning, development, implementation, promotion/dissemination and logistical support of program/project activities.
- Cultivates, maintains relationships and acts as point of contact for stakeholders related to program/project including the Reach board of directors, other grant funded staff, foster care liaisons at grant pilot sites, and peer mentors with lived experience in foster care.
- Maintains high visibility on behalf of the program, Reach, and UNT, including organizing community events and regional meetings involving stakeholders across the state including foster care liaisons.
- Oversees the peer mentoring program activities with guidance from foster care liaisons and maintains consistent and continuous communication with each mentor to support their success.
- Develops and implements program/project processes for peer mentors and liaisons.
- Provides accurate and timely reporting and works directly with the grant evaluation team.
- Compiles data from higher education foster care liaisons and peer mentors for all participating institutions and accurately reports the data to the project team and the Reach board in accordance with grant reporting deadlines.
- Effectively manages expenses allocated for the program.
- Exhibits responsible leadership as a supervisor and effectively organizes, trains, and evaluates peer mentors.

M-F, 8am-5pm; remote flexibility also available
