The primary purpose of the Integrated Student Service Center (ISSC) is to provide a progressive and simplified student experience across the areas of financial aid, student accounting, money management, registrar and admissions. Central to the ISSC model is to promote a culture that supports customer service, student satisfaction, retention, and student success.
Position Overview
The Student Experience Representative will report to the leadership of the Integrated Student Support Center. Central to this role is promoting a progressive and simplified student experience and a culture that supports customer service, student satisfaction, retention, and student success. This position is responsible for providing student service activities for the Division of Enrollment.
Minimum Qualifications
A minimum of one year of experience working with students or customers in a service-oriented environment.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication, critical thinking and administrative skills.
- Ability to meet expectations in a fast paced and dynamic customer oriented environment with flexibility to accommodate adjusting priorities.
- Proven ability to work effectively as a team member.
- Experience in Microsoft Office Suite, student information systems, CRM.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- Experience working at UNT or a similar university.
- Working knowledge of student information systems (including but not limited to PeopleSoft and SalesForce.
- Experience in higher education, preferably a one stop service model, financial aid, registrar, and/or student accounting.
- Experience working with diverse populations of students, staff and faculty desired.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication, critical thinking and administrative skills.
- Sensitive to cultural diversity and backgrounds.

Job Duties:
- Provide first level contact for a variety of enrollment related student services in a professional manner, to students, parents, and campus department personnel. Contact may be by phone, in person, or virtually.
- Responsible for answering questions, providing general information, researching solutions, and solving issues related to financial aid, enrollment, admissions, academic records, billing, and payments. Requires analysis and compilation of data from a variety of sources.
- Responsible for understanding and interpreting the needs of students and providing support across all enrollment services areas. Utilize existing tools and assist students in navigating confidential student information across multiple systems.
- Comply with all university policies, rules, and regulations including attending work regularly and punctually.
- Undergo ongoing training on federal, state, and institutional regulations and business processes/policies.
- Effectively utilize the CRM database to assist students and track requests across the student lifecycle. Responsible for whole student case creation and routing, utilization of available tools and follow-up/escalation as appropriate.
