Department Summary

UNT Health is one of the three higher education institutions within the University of North Texas (UNT) System, alongside UNT at Denton and UNT at Dallas. Position Overview

The Office of Academic Affairs, Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine, at the UNT Health is seeking an Administrative Business Coordinator to join the team. Serves as a key strategic and administrative support and partner for the senior associate dean. Operates as both an internal and external liaison for the department and is responsible for ensuring seamless, transparent, effective operations, clarity of information, and facilitates and monitors the administration of the department. Manages operating unit, including financial reconciliation, tracking, and reporting, and assists with the preparation and management of department budget. Faculty workload database maintenance, data tracking, and analysis.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of related experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Advanced MS Office skills.
  • Proven organizational skills and detail orientation.
  • Knowledge of accounting/budgeting procedures.
  • Ability to work under pressure, to adjust to constant changes, to handle multiple tasks, and to coordinate the work of others.
  • Ability to keep complex records, to assemble and organize data of complex nature, and to prepare and submit reports in acceptable formats.

  • MBA or similar business graduate degree. Excellent Customer Service.

  • Proficiency with UNT Health Event Management System (EMS Online Scheduling).
  • Proven Expertise with Project Management Operative Organizational Skills.
  • Proven Expertise with providing High Profile / Executive Level / Self-Directed Administrative Support.
  • Exceptional Handling of Executive Level Administrative Support for Ten (or more) Administrators and Faculty.
  • Exceptional Proven Communication Skills (Oral and Written).

Job Duties

  • Executive support for the Senior Associate Dean of Academic Affairs, including travel planning, travel expense submissions, and other travel support needs; purchasing, correspondence, and other executive needs.
  • TCOM Student Performance Committee (SPC) administrative coordination and support as well as administrative support for Academic Affairs staff meetings.
  • Operational administration for the Department of Academic Affairs. Contract liaison; purchasing and purchasing reconciliations; hiring manager for Teaching Assistants for courses; official department time-keeper; department inventory transactions, technology needs, compliance needs, and any other related duties for the office.
  • Responsible for or assist with financial and operational functions including, but not limited to, purchasing, budget, travel, safety, information technology, and compliance.
  • Tracks/monitors CME, travel spending, and reviewing of unit financials, including budget tracker, tracking of state funds, and financial reports through Axiom while monitoring available funds with transparency to the College Business Office.
  • Works in partnership with administrative team to ensure all procurement, purchasing, and travel guidelines and processes are implemented and followed within the unit.
  • Backup support for Academic small group activities across Osteopathic Medical Practice, large group exams, quizzes and other curricular support to Academic Program Managers.
  • Oversees administration operations by identifying needed resources and setting priorities; manages flow to ensure prudent management of resources.
  • Other duties as assigned, including backing up other executive assistants as needed to ensure Business Continuity Plans and expectations are met.

Plumbing Foreman

The Facilities Department at the University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth is seeking to hire a plumbing foreman to join our team. Associate Director, One Stop Contact Center

The Associate Director, One Stop Contact Center provides leadership for the daily operations of the UNT One Stop Contact Center and helps ensure students and families receive timely, accurate, and supportive service throughout their college journey. The position leads the Senior Coordinators who supervise Contact Center full-time and part-time team members and is responsible for staffing and workforce planning, service levels, queue management, employee performance and development, escalated student concerns, and the overall effectiveness of daily Contact Center operations.
