Position Overview
Run and analyze accounting and financial reports to monitor dining services operations.
• Prepare and present reports to management on purchasing trends, and vendor performance.
• Communicate with vendors via email and phone to handle inquiries, resolve issues, and maintain strong relationships.
• Batch and process invoice payments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal policies.
• Submit blanket purchase orders (POs) and track their confirmation and processing status.
• Lead and oversee the work of student assistants, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on time.
• Provide training and guidance to student assistants, and review their work for quality and compliance.
• Receive and keep track of invoice approvals, ensuring all documentation is complete and properly filed.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date records of all procurement activities.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements in procurement and recommend solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Ensure all procurement activities adhere to organizational policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
• Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or a related role.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in running and interpreting reports.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience supervising or leading a team is preferred.
